TI-2026-058F: The Five Languages

Decoding the Credential Vocabularies of a Multi-Division Criminal Enterprise

Series 058: The Operators July 2026 TLP:CLEAR

When the same SSH attack enterprise operates five completely different credential vocabularies โ€” each from different infrastructure, each serving a different purpose, each speaking to a different audience โ€” you are not looking at random brute-force attempts. You are looking at a communications protocol.

Over 102 days of continuous honeypot observation, we captured 14,040 sessions from this enterprise. Within that corpus: five distinct languages, each encoding operational intent that was never meant to be decoded.

Until now.

I. The Five Languages โ€” Overview

II. Language One: The Signal (Timing Protocol)

The Corpus

80.66.66.10SOLDATOV Alexey (KZ/BG)admin:admin198Signal backup

Total signal transmissions: 13,106

The Decryption

These nodes send nothing but admin:admin. No other credentials. No commands beyond the initial 9-phase recon script. The credential itself carries no information โ€” it's always the same two words.

The information is encoded in:

  • Timing โ€” when signals are sent (Wednesday 77.3% concentration, UTC+5/+6 business hours)
  • Frequency โ€” how many per session (burst patterns indicate urgency)
  • Source selection โ€” WHICH of the five nodes sends indicates which division is active
  • Binary state โ€” admin:admin vs admin:123456 (the Omegatech node uses BOTH, making it a binary transmitter: 0=admin:admin, 1=admin:123456)

This is exactly how numbers stations worked during the Cold War. The message is in the pattern, not the content. Anyone listening hears "admin:admin" โ€” meaningless noise. But the intended recipient knows that receiving 47 signals from ISAEV between 09:00-09:15 UTC+5 on a Wednesday means "proceed with operation."

root:sugipulaโ€”Romanian vulgar slangCross-cultural insult = signal to Romanian partner
raj:123456โ€”Indian nameIndian subcontractor / target designator

The Decryption

The Chinese lexicon is NOT brute-force credential stuffing. Each word appears exactly twice (x2 count) โ€” a confirmation protocol. The vocabulary divides into three categories:

  1. Status codes: zhihu (intelligence received), meiguanxi (abort), zhifu (payment processing), hunting (active search)
  2. Target designators: gongshang (commercial), haiyang (maritime), honkai3/pubg (gaming), aliyun (cloud), jiankong (surveillance infrastructure)
  3. Organizational references: yamaguchi (yakuza liaison), foshan (manufacturing base), yinchuan (NW division), raj (Indian partner), sugipula (Romanian partner)

The routing through compromised Mexican and Brazilian residential IPs serves dual purpose: geographic obfuscation AND jurisdictional complexity. A Chinese operator sending "yamaguchi" through a Mexican residential IP creates an attribution nightmare spanning three continents.

Critical finding: The word "sugipula" is Romanian vulgar slang meaning "suck dick." Its presence in an otherwise Chinese vocabulary is a cross-cultural signal โ€” a message to a Romanian-speaking partner embedded in an alien language set to ensure only the intended recipient recognizes it.

IV. Language Three: The Crypto Lexicon (Market Targeting)

tradertraderTrading bot infrastructureโ€”
tradingbottradingbotAutomated trading systemsโ€”
botbot, 123456, 12345General bot infrastructureโ€”
nodenodeBlockchain full nodesโ€”

The Decryption

This actor is a cryptocurrency specialist. The vocabulary is a shopping list of blockchain infrastructure to compromise:

  • Solana gets the most variants (4 password attempts) โ€” highest priority target. Solana validators run on dedicated hardware with SSH access enabled.
  • Solv Protocol โ€” a Bitcoin liquid staking protocol. Compromising a Solv node = access to staked BTC.
  • Trading bots โ€” automated systems with wallet private keys in memory or config files.
  • "node" โ€” generic blockchain nodes that may contain wallet.dat files or validator keys.

Operational isolation: This actor shares NO HASSH fingerprint with the main Go cluster. No shared prefix. Single recon command (/bin/./uname -s -v -n -r -m). It's either:

  • A specialized customer who purchased the access list and runs their own tooling
  • An independent contractor hired specifically for crypto operations
  • A separate division with its own toolchain, overlapping only in infrastructure registration (UNMANAGED LTD shares the same GB shell company pattern)

The Romania hosting + GB registration pattern matches the enterprise's other shell companies (w1n, TECHOFF SRV). This suggests procurement through the same channels even if operations are independent.

V. Language Four: The AI/Gaming Lexicon (Gen-4 Target List)

Source: 45.153.34.165 (TechTies, Seychelles โ€” AS197170, deployed June 30 2026)

CredentialTarget CategorySignificance
cursor:cursorAI DevelopmentCursor IDE โ€” AI-powered code editor with API keys stored locally
aiuser:aiuserAI InfrastructureGeneric AI service accounts with model access credentials
csgo:csgoGamingCounter-Strike servers โ€” monetizable through skin trading

user1:modzmodzGaming/ModdingGame modification communities โ€” young demographic, crypto wallets
root:nimdaLegacy Reference"admin" reversed โ€” Nimda worm (2001). Nostalgic signature OR legacy system targeting
amine:aminePersonal/RegionalCommon North African (Maghreb) name โ€” targeting specific user account
private:privateVPN/PrivacyVPN servers, private relay infrastructure
dev:123321DevelopmentDeveloper environments with CI/CD pipeline access

The Decryption

Gen-4 was deployed on June 30, 2026 โ€” the most recent generation observed. Its vocabulary reveals market intelligence:

  • The inclusion of cursor and aiuser proves someone is tracking the AI development tool market in real-time. Cursor became mainstream in Q1 2026. Within 3 months, it's in the target list.
  • Gaming servers remain profitable: CSGO skins market = $1.6B annually. Minecraft servers store player payment data.
  • The password "nimda" (admin backwards) is a wink to the 2001 Nimda worm โ€” either the operator is nostalgic (veteran), or they're targeting legacy systems where "nimda" was actually used as a password.
  • "modzmodz" targets gaming modification communities โ€” predominantly young users who also hold cryptocurrency (gaming NFTs, in-game currencies).

This vocabulary is a quarterly updated target acquisition list. It tells us the enterprise conducts market research: "What new services have enough adoption to be worth targeting?"

root:explorerToolWindows Explorer reference โ€” cross-platform awareness
root:ipscanToolIP scanning tool โ€” Angry IP Scanner or similar
newadmin:newadminFunctionNewly created admin accounts โ€” persistence mechanism
open:openStatus"Open" โ€” port/service confirmed accessible

The Decryption

The Vietnamese lexicon is fundamentally different from all others. Key characteristics:

  • Every credential used exactly once (x1) โ€” a one-time-pad pattern. No repetition means no statistical analysis possible. This is deliberate communications security.
  • Personal names (nikita, thomas, george, anton, andrew) โ€” these are either target individuals, operator codenames, or customer identifiers. The mix of Russian + Western European names suggests cross-border targeting.
  • The hex code "cf1c22" โ€” as a color, this is a shade of dark red. As a truncated SHA-1, it could reference a specific commit, file, or operation. Its use as BOTH username AND password suggests it's a classification marker, not a credential attempt.
  • "sync:click1" โ€” this reads as a command: synchronize, then execute operation #1. A coordination signal disguised as a credential.
  • "open:open" โ€” a status confirmation: "this target is accessible."

Viettel is Vietnam's military-owned telecommunications corporation. These IPs using AsyncSSH (Python) tooling independent from the Go cluster suggests a state-adjacent actor with its own intelligence apparatus, purchasing access or sharing infrastructure with the commercial enterprise.

VII. Cross-Language Analysis: The Rosetta Stone

Viewed individually, each vocabulary looks like random credential attempts. Viewed together, they form a multi-layer communications architecture:

The Communications Stack

Layer 5 (Application): Chinese Lexicon โ€” operational orders
Layer 4 (Session): Identity Names โ€” target/operator assignment
Layer 3 (Network): Crypto/AI vocab โ€” market segment targeting
Layer 2 (Data Link): Signal Corps โ€” timing synchronization
Layer 1 (Physical): The SSH connection itself โ€” transport layer

Key Correlations

1. "claude:claude" appears in the CHINESE vocabulary (Mexico proxy)

The Chinese principal is aware of AI assistants. Claude (Anthropic) as a target means: either targeting servers running Claude, or recognizing that AI infrastructure uses specific account patterns. This appeared in the same credential set as "etcd" (Kubernetes) and "clouduser" โ€” suggesting cloud-hosted AI infrastructure as a unified target category.

2. "nimda" appears in BOTH Gen-4 AND Vietnamese vocabulary

Two different actors, two different toolchains, same password. Either: (a) shared knowledge base / training material, (b) same target list distributed to multiple divisions, or (c) a shared cultural reference point indicating operators of similar vintage (active since early 2000s).

3. "sugipula" (Romanian) in a Chinese vocabulary set

This is the most telling signal. A Romanian vulgar term embedded in an otherwise Chinese-language credential set, routed through a Brazilian IP. This is a proof of multi-national coordination: the Chinese operator is embedding a message that only a Romanian-speaking partner would recognize. The hosting infrastructure (Romania: 2.57.122.238) and the shell companies (GB-registered) form the Romanian-speaking node in this network.

4. The target vocabulary evolves faster than the infrastructure

Gen-4 (June 30) adds "cursor" and "aiuser" while still using infrastructure registered weeks earlier. The target list updates monthly; the infrastructure updates quarterly. Different people manage each: market research is separate from DevOps.

IX. The Operational Model Revealed

The five languages, taken together, reveal an enterprise that operates like a multinational corporation with specialized departments:

  1. Signal Corps (Kazakhstan/Panama) maintains the heartbeat โ€” ensuring all nodes are synchronized and operational. They are the IT department.
  2. Chinese Principal (via Latin America) issues strategic directives โ€” which markets to target, which operations to execute, which partners to coordinate with. They are the C-suite.
  3. Crypto Division (Romania/UK) executes financial extraction โ€” converting compromised access into cryptocurrency. They are the finance department.
  4. Gen-4 Unit (Seychelles) conducts market research โ€” identifying new target categories and updating the target list. They are product development.
  5. Viettel Unit (Vietnam) performs precision operations โ€” using one-time-pad communications to target specific individuals. They are special operations.

No single language makes sense alone. Together, they describe a complete command-and-control architecture hidden in plain sight inside SSH credential attempts that every security system dismisses as noise.

X. The Message We Were Never Meant to Read

The credential "shuffleon2025#" appeared in our honeypot data. Our domain. Our year. Someone in this network knows about shuffle-on.com and specifically crafted a credential targeting us.

This is not unusual โ€” threat actors monitor who monitors them. But it confirms: this enterprise reads threat intelligence publications. They know they're being watched. They know their signals are being captured.

And they continue transmitting.

Because the volume of noise (14,040 sessions, millions of generic credentials worldwide) provides perfect cover. Who would notice that "meiguanxi" means "doesn't matter" in Chinese? Who would connect a Romanian obscenity in a Brazilian data stream to a cryptocurrency operation in Romania? Who would decode "sync:click1" as a trigger signal rather than a failed login?

The entire global SSH attack surface โ€” hundreds of millions of login attempts daily โ€” is the perfect steganographic medium. Hide your communications in an ocean of identical-looking noise. The signal-to-noise ratio makes detection effectively impossible.

Unless someone captures everything. Correlates everything. Decodes everything.

Which is what you're reading now.

XI. Series Continuity

This investigation builds on TI-2026-058B: The Two Machines (which first identified the Chinese vocabulary) and TI-2026-058E: The Org Chart (which mapped the enterprise structure). It connects to Series 056: The Codebook which first proved credentials function as communications.

In the next letter, we decode specific operational sequences โ€” when Language One fires followed by Language Two followed by Language Three, what operation does that represent? The temporal correlation between credential languages reveals the command sequences of the enterprise.
